June Prayers for KCW
SUNDAY GATHERINGS:
We have been doing some thinking about how we should shape our Sunday Gathering (to exalt God and edify one another). Please pray for wisdom to make our gatherings as good as they can be…
Thank God for the way he has resourced us (with gifted people, venues, and equipment):
People:
Thank God for the people who to run our Sunday gatherings (Sunday School teachers, AV team, music team, service leaders, preachers, stewards etc). Pray for godliness, humility, love, unity, pray Phil 2:1-4 [“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”]
Venue:
Praise God for His ongoing provision of a venue to meet in, and for the potential need to move to a larger venue.
Equipment:
Praise God for his provision of all we have needed to meet. Pray for discernment as we consider what equipment is required for our future services (cameras and equipment for ongoing streaming, projector, better systems to handle heavy equipment, improvements to our sound desk, roving microphones, etc) - and for God’s gracious provision of the finances to purchase these.
APPOINTMENT OF ELDERS:
Pray for real wisdom as we meet with potential candidates and explore together character and suitability for this noble task - we are looking to appoint two or more elders one of which will be Pete
Pray we would find the right character with the right gifting to help shepherd and take care of the people at KCW from September: above reproach, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, sober, gentle, peacemaking, leader at home, not a lover of money, mature and humble
WOMEN’S GROUPS:
Pray that we would cultivate our inner beauty, a gentle and quiet spirit, and that we would be prepared to suffer unjustly in this life, always honouring Christ in our lives and arming ourselves with his way of thinking
Practically please pray for wisdom as we decide what to study next academic year
