January Prayers for KCW
Thanks…
Give thanks for the ability to still meet physically and the school’s and Government’s willingness to keep us open. We’re really thankful for our relationship with Bell Farm and for Robert and Jacqui who manage the facilities.
We’re thankful for a unity among one another and a real desire to meet together in whatever way is possible. Thank you for the encouragement of one another in this difficult period for our church and country
We’re thankful for a very successful pilot scheme which provided ‘fresh food bags’ to people in our community in food crisis. We’re thankful for the chance to ‘do good’ and for those who volunteered and prayed to help it happen.
We’re very thankful for Christ’s calling us to repentance - we thank you that he came for sinners. We thank you that he forgives us and changes us. We thank you for what he has done and is doing in our lives and we thank you that we have a great hope in his return
Please…
Pray for one another that we’d be able to accept what comes from our Father’s hand in these strange times like weaned children. Quiet in our souls and hoping in our Lord! Help us to fight for that sense of peace which only comes when we submit to the goodness of our Father’s wisdom and provision. Pray we would all find that peace in our tough moments.
Pray for safety as we meet at Bell Farm and for each of us to take our responsibilities for safety seriously. Pray that God would keep us safe as we gather.
Pray that the series ‘Meals with Jesus’ would help us grow in our confidence in Jesus and what he has done for us. Pray that as a family we’d all grow in this together – in homegroups as adults, in church as adults and children and in homes as families work through the weekly devotionals. Pray we’d become people more in love with Jesus, more committed to him and more willing to follow him.
Please pray as we consider how to maintain the ‘fresh food bags’ as a KCW ministry – pray for the right person/persons to oversee what we ‘do’ in our community to reach them and also how we ‘share’ as a church family to help meet one another’s needs.
