April Prayers for KCW

Vision for the Gathering

  • That God would give us wisdom and clarity of thought as we consider what our “gathering” will look like over the remainder of 2021 as lockdown eases; energy for those serving; new people to support; and what our weekly Sunday meetings and monthly mid week meeting should look like

  • Pray for godly wisdom as we consider new songs to introduce: good theologically sound songs that are enjoyable, singable, and edifying to the King’s family

  • Praise God for the growth he has given us. We are running out of space in Bell Farm school. Please pray for stewards as they juggle how to use the space well

  • Elders are considering whether it is time to look at new venues. Please pray for wisdom as we look at options, for God to provide what we need (possibly a new venue), and for us to trust Him - he has always provided

AV / Streaming

  • Give thanks for providing volunteers for 2 new folks settling into the streaming ministry

  • Give thanks for God carrying us through and keeping us all in good health and helping us to sort out many of the technical difficulties

  • Give thanks for the privilege that we could meet during lockdown and the provision of technology and for Wisdom as we consider how to continue to improve on our AV ministry. Especially as we consider how we fit more people into the hall

  • For willing hands and opportunities to train a broader team

Music

  • Pray that musicians would keep looking to the Lord as we ‘play’ to the congregation who can’t sing along

  • That we would be humble and keep asking the Lord to help us engage with those at church

  • That we would keep praying and preparing for the day we can all sing again together and keep prayerfully exploring how we can move towards this safely

  • Pray to for those considering what songs we sing and how we introduce new songs that build each other up in the word, bring glory to God and help us sing of his praises and wonders to Him and one another

Set Up / Stewarding / Health & Safety

  • Pray that we may give up the hour and half before and hour after the service with a willing heart

  • Pray we would use the opportunity to speak to people both old and new to King’s Church

  • Pray we would be a witness to Bell Farm by leaving the school in an impeccable condition after church

Identity Series

  • Pray for God to equip us through these talks to understand biblically the identity confusion in our world, how to engage with it and how to point one another to Christ in it

John 13-17

  • Pray for God to equip us through our time in John 13-17. To grow in our understanding of the role of the Spirit, the foundation of the apostles teaching and our ongoing part in the Kingdom. Pray we will be strengthened and built up in our faith

Women’s Groups

  • Pray that as we reflect with gratitude on what we’ve learned in our Hebrews studies we will offer our lives in acceptable worship to God

King’s Kids & Youth

  • The New City Catechism - Pray our children would be grounded on the truth about who God is and who we are in relation to him

  • Youth - Pray our young people would build deep, lifelong friendships that encourage them to live for Christ

  • Youth Mentoring - Pray for the mentors and our youth that God would use these relationships to ensure all our young people are godly, lifelong disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ

  • Kids - As Sunday School restarts - pray they’d be enthusiasm and excitement as the children get to spend time with each other again, after so long apart.  Pray they’d delight in learning from God’s word in their groups

All of Us

  • As lockdown eases pray we’d be effective at re-establishing our church family connections
